We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our client’s team. As a SQL Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations and optimization of valuable databases.

SQL Database Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, configure and maintain SQL server databases, while continuously monitoring and optimizing their performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze database requirements, ensuring they align with business objectives
  • Develop backup and recovery processes to guarantee data integrity and minimize downtime
  • Perform regular security audits and implement measures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data
  • Create and maintain documentation, including database schemas, procedures and policies to foster knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Conduct database capacity planning and implement strategies to scale databases and optimize storage utilization
  • Design, develop and implement automation processes for tedious and repetitive tasks, enhancing team productivity and efficiency
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in database technologies, making recommendations for enhancements and improvements

SQL Database Administrator Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, handling complex databases within an enterprise environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL and SQL scripting
  • Extensive knowledge of database management and optimization techniques, including indexes, backups, replication and performance tuning
  • Experience with database security protocols, policies and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives
