This Part-Time Senior Accountant role will partner closely with leadership and the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support ongoing business operations. What’s the job?
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Review and maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
- Partner with external auditors and assist with audit requests
- Support process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects
What’s needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work onsite in Hillside, IL for 24–30 hours per week
