LaSalle Network is hiring an Operations Director to lead manufacturing operations across multiple sites for a Fortune 300 global manufacturer in the construction products space. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for a seasoned multi-site operations executive who has personally driven operational transformations, built strong leadership teams and delivered measurable results. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that ensure safe, efficient operations and consistent delivery of high-quality products

  • Lead operations across five locations in the greater Chicago area, overseeing manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing engineering, quality and safety

  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and exceed operational targets

  • Drive productivity improvements and cost reductions by reducing waste, scrap, rework and other inefficiencies

  • Lead cross-functional quality initiatives and strengthen supplier accountability and quality performance

  • Oversee capital planning and execute CAPEX projects that enhance productivity, capacity and growth

  • Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to optimize inventory, transportation costs and distribution performance

  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing and sourcing teams to deliver new product introductions on time and on cost

  • Build organizational capability by developing Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain leaders and driving succession planning

  • Champion a world-class safety culture through proactive risk identification, mitigation and employee accountability

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and company standards


What's Needed?

  • 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in complex manufacturing environments, including multi-site responsibility

  • Proven success managing multiple facilities, driving performance and holding teams accountable

  • Demonstrated ability to implement processes, execute continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable results

  • Track record of building high-performing teams, developing future leaders and establishing a culture of accountability and execution

  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing budgets, capital investments and cost reduction

  • Experience leading supply chain optimization, supplier quality improvement and large-scale transformation initiatives

  • Strong change management, project management and cross-functional leadership skills

  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence

  • Comfort working within a lean, continuous-improvement-driven operating philosophy while remaining flexible and adaptable

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Willingness to travel regularly between facilities and suppliers, with occasional international travel
