Our client, a leader in the consumer-packaged goods industry, is looking to elevate their supply chain operations and is actively seeking a dynamic Material Planner to join their team. 

 

As an integral part of our client's team, the Material Planner will contribute to the fine-tuning of the supply chain, ensuring seamless operations and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate has a strategic mindset, exceptional organizational abilities and a proven track record of collaborative success in cross-functional teams. 

 

Material Planner Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive deployment plans aligned with production schedules and customer demand 

  • Utilize ERP functionalities to optimize inventory levels and distribution, ensuring on-time delivery of products to meet customer requirements 

  • Leverage ERP systems to monitor and analyze inventory data, track order fulfillment and identify opportunities for process improvement 

  • Implement strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining sufficient stock levels to meet customer demands 

  • Work closely with production, procurement and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory data 

  • Foster effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, sales and customer service teams 

  • Proactively identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance overall supply chain performance 

  • Generate and analyze reports to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to deployment and logistics 

Material Planner Requirements: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data 

  • 2-3+ years in inventory management, deployment, or logistics 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices 

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in inventory management
