LaSalle Network is partnering with a billion-dollar industry leading manufacturer of low-maintenance and environmentally sustainable building products, with a focus on decking and outdoor living. They are in search of a dynamic Global Sourcing Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for their company.

This role manages the development and execution of assigned commodity strategies that supports the company's supply chain to maximize value, quality and delivery performance. The Global Sourcing Manager evaluates and monitors market conditions to maintain lowest total cost and inventory levels. They will also evaluate, recommend and manage ongoing relationships with suppliers. This position requires application of a variety of procurement discipline practices and procedures, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Global Sourcing Manager Requirements:

  • Serve as lead for Sourcing and negotiating contract pricing and terms for assigned commodities, including but not limited to Aluminum Extrusions, Fabricated Metals, Hardware and Fasteners
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Aluminum Extrusion strategy for a subsidiary, and subsequently, across the entire portfolio
  • Manage key supplier relationships for the subsidiary’s business
  • Partner with internal stake holders and budget owners to develop and execute continuous improvement plan
  • Analyze global, regional and local market information to understand upstream cost drivers and the effect on market pricing, including supply and demand dynamics. Generate and maintain various top management flash reports and monthly market overview reports on key commodities
  • Conduct global market research to identify potential new suppliers and products with the goal of identifying new and redundant sources of supply based on competitiveness, capability and business needs. Lead cross-functional team to qualify
  • Conduct supplier survey and scorecard measurement process with key suppliers, driving continuous improvement and project savings opportunities
  • Complete Strategic Sourcing Events for assigned commodities and services focusing on Total Cost. Includes but not limited to negotiating price, lead time, Payment Terms, Rebates and delivery
  • Award contracts for assigned commodities and monitor purchases to ensure commitments are made and rebates are maximized. Identify and take advantage of spot buy opportunities as needed
  • Comply with all SOX requirements and approved processes and procedures
  • Maintain professional & productive relations with suppliers and internal customers
  • Manage/update pricing and adjustments for all key materials and develop means to share information to all parties
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Purchasing policies and procedures by creating templates and laying out processes
 
Global Sourcing Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering or related field required. MBA desirable
  • 7+ years’ experience with strategic sourcing in a multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Experience in sourcing Aluminum Extrusions is required
  • Experience in negotiating with Global suppliers is required
  • Experience with sourcing Powder Coated equipment is required
  • ISM-CPSM and APICs-CPIM desirable. Experience implementing JDE systems a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of front and back end of systems
  • Proven success researching data utilizing internal and external sources
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and developing procurement tools and reports
  • Comprehension of market dynamics and ability to translate the information into meaningful language
  • Strong Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, MS Office Proficiency, MRP, JDE.
  • Travel time 25% will include some international travel
