Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive security solutions, is currently seeking a Door Access Systems Field Technician to join their team in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago. This organization is looking to expand its team and needs someone who has worked in the security industry.

Door Access Systems Field Technician Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure and maintain door access systems, including hardware and software components
  • Perform system programming and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
  • Trim and organize cabling and associated components for a clean and professional installation
  • Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of the door access systems
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both on-site and remotely, to minimize system downtime
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations and maintenance activities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while performing duties

Door Access Systems Field Technician Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a door access systems technician
  • Proven expertise with major door access systems, including Lannel and Avigilon ACM
  • Strong understanding of access control principles, hardware and software
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics and blueprints
  • Proficiency in system programming and configuration
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and clean record
  • Travel to customer sites as needed within 35 miles radius from home office
