Door Access Systems Field Technician Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain door access systems, including hardware and software components
- Perform system programming and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security
- Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
- Trim and organize cabling and associated components for a clean and professional installation
- Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of the door access systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both on-site and remotely, to minimize system downtime
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations and maintenance activities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while performing duties
Door Access Systems Field Technician Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a door access systems technician
- Proven expertise with major door access systems, including Lannel and Avigilon ACM
- Strong understanding of access control principles, hardware and software
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics and blueprints
- Proficiency in system programming and configuration
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean record
- Travel to customer sites as needed within 35 miles radius from home office
