LaSalle Network is partnering with a client seeking a Configuration Technician to join their team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on IT experience in a production environment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for imaging, configuring, and preparing Windows laptops, Chromebooks, and Android tablets for deployment to schools and businesses. This is not a help desk or technical support position—there is no troubleshooting or ticketing. Instead, you’ll follow established processes to ensure every device is accurately configured and deployment-ready.
This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, career changers, or graduates of programs such as Year Up, Per Scholas, or similar IT training programs looking to launch a career in technology.
Responsibilities
- Image, configure, and package Windows laptops, Chromebooks, and Android tablets
- Reimage Chromebook devices for school districts using established imaging procedures
- Label, package, and prepare equipment for shipment
- Follow detailed configuration and quality control processes
- Maintain productivity while ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with a small, experienced onsite team to meet deployment deadlines
Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge and comfort working with hardware
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Dependable with excellent attendance and work ethic
- Comfortable performing repetitive, process-driven tasks
- Reliable transportation to work onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL
- Previous IT experience is helpful but not required
- Graduates of Year Up, Per Scholas, CompTIA training programs, or similar technical bootcamps are encouraged to apply
