LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire an AR/AP Specialist who knows their way around a high-volume accounting environment and enjoys keeping financial operations running smoothly. This temp-to-hire opportunity in North Aurora, IL, offers the chance to join a growing accounting team during an exciting finance transformation initiative. If you’re detail-oriented, organized and ready to take ownership of a busy accounts payable and accounts receivable workload, this could be your next move.
What’s the job?
As an AR/AP Specialist, you’ll spend approximately two-thirds of your time on accounts payable and one-third supporting accounts receivable. You’ll process roughly 200 invoices per week, most tied to purchase orders, while helping maintain accurate financial records and timely payments.

Process high-volume AP transactions, including invoice entry, coding, approvals and three-way matching.

Review general ledger coding, reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.

Prepare payment batches, upload approved payment files to banking platforms and support weekly payment runs.

Apply customer payments, maintain cash application records and support billing and invoicing.

Monitor AR aging, follow up on outstanding balances and respond to customer payment inquiries.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.

Partner with internal departments, support process improvements and assist with special projects.
What’s needed?

Two or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a related accounting role.

Experience in a high-volume transactional accounting environment.

Strong knowledge of three-way matching, invoice processing, vendor reconciliations and general ledger coding.

Experience using an ERP system and applying accounting principles.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently on-site.

Cash application, billing and collections experience preferred.
