Our client is multi-site healthcare organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to spearhead their accounts payable operations and contribute to their continued success. Renowned for their customer-centric approach and operational excellence, they have established a reputation for delivering exceptional results. This position sits in the metro Nashville area, in a hybrid in-office work model and is budgeted for $95,000 – $115,000 base salary with bonus (commensurate with professional experience).

As our client's Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of their accounts payable processes. You will oversee a team of four Accounts Payable Specialists, manage the entire end-to-end payment process for their vendors, implement and maintain efficient 3-way matching procedures and provide comprehensive financial reports to their leadership team. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining strong vendor relationships, optimizing cash flow and contributing to the overall financial health of our client's company.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments and 3-way matching
  • Supervise a team of four Accounts Payable Specialists, providing mentorship, guidance and training to ensure their success
  • Implement and maintain efficient 3-way matching procedures to guarantee the accuracy and validity of payments
  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships, resolving payment discrepancies and maintaining open communication channels
  • Conduct thorough vendor audits to ensure compliance with contractual terms and payment obligations
  • Prepare and present comprehensive accounts payable reports to our client's leadership team, providing insights into payment trends, vendor performance and potential cost savings opportunities
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in accounts payable management to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable management, with a proven track record of success in a complex environment
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in a reputable ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payment discrepancies promptly and effectively
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with vendors, colleagues and management at all levels
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of accounts payable specialists
