We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant with a passion to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience working with real estate clients and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting functions for real estate clients, including property management companies, real estate investors and developers
- Prepare financial statements, cash flow projections and other financial reports specific to the real estate industry
- Conduct thorough analysis of property financials, including revenue, expenses and operating costs
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for real estate projects and investments
- Perform cost segregation studies and depreciation analyses to optimize tax benefits for real estate clients
- Collaborate with clients and real estate professionals to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices in real estate accounting and taxation
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on accounting, tax and financial matters related to real estate transactions and investments
Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role, with a focus on real estate clients
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles, including lease accounting, property management and cost allocation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and real estate professionals
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
