LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing insurance organization in their search for an Organic Search & SEO Manager to lead the company’s organic search strategy and help evolve its approach to SEO as search continues to change.

This is a growth-focused, strategic SEO role that requires a strong foundation in technical SEO, content/search strategy, analytics, and customer intent, along with an interest in emerging areas such as AI search, AEO and GEO.

The ideal candidate can work independently, develop the strategy and roadmap, and partner with internal teams, agencies and external resources to execute. Most importantly, they understand that SEO is about more than rankings and traffic—it should ultimately drive customer acquisition, conversion and revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the company’s organic search strategy and roadmap.

  • Develop strategies across technical SEO, content, authority, customer intent and emerging AI search experiences.

  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered search platforms.

  • Analyze consumer search behavior and translate insights into actionable SEO and content strategies.

  • Monitor how search is evolving and identify opportunities related to AEO, GEO and LLM/AI search.

  • Establish KPIs and measure the impact of organic search on traffic, leads, conversions and revenue.

  • Partner with internal teams, agencies and website partners to ensure SEO is incorporated into broader digital initiatives.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, resources and external support needed to execute the SEO roadmap.

  • Stay current on changes in search, AI and consumer behavior and bring new ideas and experiments to the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in SEO / organic search, with the ability to operate independently and own a strategy without significant hand-holding.

  • 3+ years of hands-on expertise across both technical SEO and content/search strategy.

  • Strong understanding of site architecture, crawlability, indexation, internal linking, structured data and other core SEO principles.

  • Proven track record of connecting SEO efforts to measurable business and customer acquisition outcomes.

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to turn data and research into actionable recommendations.

  • Genuine interest in AI, AEO and GEO and how emerging search experiences are changing SEO.

  • Experience experimenting with or using AI/LLM tools and an ability to think about how traditional SEO principles translate to AI-powered search.

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush.

  • Experience in a direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, financial services, insurance, or other performance-oriented business is a huge plus

This position pays a base salary of $120,000-$130,000 dependent upon experience and is eligible for a performance based bonus. This position also offers a full suite of benefits including (but not limited to) medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k, and PTO.
The ideal candidate will sit in Chicago and will have the ability to be onsite at least 1-2 days a week.
