Payments & Benefits Representative I
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payments & Benefits Representative I to support policyholders with questions related to insurance benefits, payments, and account information. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping customers, managing multiple tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time contract opportunity with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and written correspondence regarding insurance policies, payments, and benefits

Handle a high volume of inbound customer interactions while maintaining professionalism and accuracy

Process payments, policy updates, and related documentation

Research and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner

Communicate effectively with customers, agents, and internal departments

Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems

Follow established procedures and compliance guidelines

Participate in training and development programs to expand product and process knowledge
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous customer service, call center, administrative, or office support experience preferred

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced environment

Associate degree and/or insurance industry experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
