Data Modernization Project Manager
Join our dynamic team as a Project Manager, leading the innovative deployment of Microsoft Fabric within a critical data modernization initiative. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of data infrastructure in a fast-paced, multi-vendor setting, working on high-impact projects that set the foundation for enterprise-wide data capabilities. Based in Chicago with flexible onsite requirements, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact through strategic project leadership and technical expertise.

Required Skills:

  • Strong background in managing projects related to data architecture, data warehouses, and/or data lakes—particularly at the big data/platform level

  • Proven project management leadership, capable of driving timelines, communicating effectively, and offering strategic guidance

  • Experience navigating multi-vendor/consultant environments, managing cross-team collaborations

  • Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to operate confidently in a complex technology landscape


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric

  • Exposure to legal, regulatory, or other highly regulated data environments

  • Familiarity with data integration and migration strategies


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Prior experience managing data modernization or cloud migration projects

  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, multi-party technical initiatives


Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work onsite in Chicago 3 days per week

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors

  • Prior experience in legal or regulated industries is a plus

  • Compensation: $70-$80 per hour
