HR & Payroll Support Center Representative (Hybrid – Scarborough, ME)
LaSalle Network has partnered with our client to hire an HR & Payroll Support Center Representative to serve as an internal resource for employees seeking HR- and payroll-related assistance. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for employee phone calls and self-service tickets, providing accurate information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
This position is hybrid in Scarborough, ME and offers an excellent opportunity to build HR operations experience while supporting employees across the organization.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for internal employee HR and payroll inquiries via phone and self-service tickets

Support employees, managers, former employees, family members, and external vendors as needed

Reference company policies, procedures, and HR systems to ensure accurate and consistent responses

Perform HR and payroll-related transactions in internal systems with high accuracy and adherence to procedures

Document all interactions, resolutions, and next steps in the case management system

Identify when inquiries require escalation to subject matter experts or the Supervisor

Utilize knowledge bases, case management tools, and navigational resources to manage caseloads and meet service level goals

Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information

Process routine insurance premium transactions

Assist with special projects as needed (mail processing, term folders, administrative support)

Participate in ongoing training to strengthen HR knowledge, customer service skills, and productivity
Requirements:

High school diploma and 2+ years of office or administrative experience

Strong customer service experience; call center experience preferred

Basic computer proficiency; intermediate MS Office skills a plus

Experience with HR or payroll processes is preferred but not required

Excellent listening, phone, and communication skills

Ability to ask clarifying questions, summarize key information, and resolve issues efficiently

Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
