Overview:
Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing financial services firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant with broker dealer experience to join their accounting team. Responsibilities:

Perform daily and monthly general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations

Prepare and review financial statements and regulatory reports (e.g., FOCUS Reports)

Assist with month-end close and internal reporting processes

Monitor intercompany transactions and assist with consolidation processes

Ensure compliance with FINRA, SEC, and other broker-dealer regulatory requirements

Support internal and external audit processes

Maintain accurate documentation of accounting procedures and policies
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

2+ years of relevant accounting experience

Broker dealer accounting experience is required

Familiarity with FOCUS filings and FINRA/SEC regulatory reporting

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial services industry practices

Proficiency with accounting software; experience with systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks is a plus

Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
