As the Sales Team Lead – Beauty, you will lead the team responsible for building and maintaining a profitable, healthy business with key retail partners.
You will drive growth by maximizing core business performance while expanding distribution across the brand’s portfolio.
This role owns full sales channel P&L responsibility and works cross-functionally to develop and execute customer strategies that drive revenue, profitability, and long-term brand growth.
Ideal candidate will sit in Chicago with the ability to travel to NY and other retail locations, as needed.
This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days in office in Chicago, and travel as needed!
- Own full customer account strategy (short- and long-term) to drive joint business plans, revenue, and profit growth
- Lead joint business planning, assortment strategy, and promotional calendars in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Build and maintain strong retailer partnerships, negotiating terms and delivering win/win business solutions
- Lead forecasting, distribution, merchandising, and profitability to ensure healthy account performance
- Develop and present strategic sales plans, including MBRs/QBRs, with actionable insights from data analysis
- Lead promotional planning, events, and sell-in strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Monitor category and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies
- Build tools, reporting, and processes that improve forecasting, tracking, and decision-making
- Support special projects and provide ad-hoc analysis to inform leadership decisions
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years of sales or account management experience (beauty/CPG/hair required)
- 2+ years experience working with major beauty retail partner is required
- Strong sales and financial acumen, including P&L budget management
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort building complex financial and sales models
- Deep understanding of syndicated data and reporting with the ability to translate insights into action
- Willingness to travel 15–20%
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight timelines
- Proficiency in business tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management platforms
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead by example
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This position pays a base salary of $130k-$140k depending on experience, and up to a 20% bonus potential!
