We are partnered with an organization that is a specialized quality and inspection services provider who supports the manufacturing of high-precision components used in demanding, high-reliability applications. The company operates a technically advanced environment where products are carefully evaluated to ensure they meet strict performance, safety, and quality standards before reaching customers. They are growing rapidly and looking to hire a production planner to join their team. 

The Production Planner is an entry-level role responsible for supporting day-to-day production scheduling and coordination within a quality testing environment. This position helps ensure testing workflows run efficiently, samples and materials are available on time, and production schedules align with quality standards, customer requirements, and internal capacity.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing within a quality-driven organization.

This is a direct hire position with a target salary of $60,000.  The opportunity also provide a bonus, health, dental and vision benefits as well. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and maintaining daily and weekly production and testing schedules based on demand, capacity, and turnaround time requirements
  • Coordinate with Quality, Lab, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure testing priorities are aligned and communicated
  • Track work-in-process (WIP), sample flow, and testing status to support on-time completion
  • Monitor inventory levels of testing materials, supplies, and consumables; flag shortages or delays
  • Support scheduling adjustments due to changes in demand, equipment availability, or quality requirements
  • Help identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or scheduling conflicts and escalate issues as needed
  • Prepare basic reports on production performance, turnaround times, and capacity utilization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, laboratory, quality, or operations environments preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of production workflows or quality/testing processes is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with ERP or production planning systems is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
