We are seeking a highly analytical and business-facing SAP MDG professional to support and evolve a recently implemented Master Data Governance (MDG) environment. This individual will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical execution, ensuring that MDG solutions are thoughtfully designed, scalable, and aligned with enterprise needs.

This is not a ticket-driven role — the ideal candidate will operate as a strategic partner to the business, bringing strong critical thinking, curiosity, and solution-oriented mindset to an evolving MDG landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and effective solutions within the SAP MDG platform
  • Engage directly with stakeholders across multiple functions (Customer, Finance, and SAP Master Data domains) to gather, refine, and validate requirements
  • Ask thoughtful, probing questions to fully understand business needs before solutioning
  • Act as a true business partner — assessing feasibility, challenging assumptions, and recommending optimal approaches
  • Provide thought leadership on how to best leverage MDG capabilities, especially in areas that are newly implemented or not yet fully explored
  • Collaborate with offshore support teams to guide execution and ensure alignment with business intent
  • Help navigate and define processes within uncharted or evolving areas of the MDG tool

Team & Environment
  • Existing offshore MDG support team focused primarily on ticket execution
  • This role will serve as the key liaison between the U.S. business and offshore resources
  • High visibility with business stakeholders and opportunity to shape how MDG is utilized moving forward

Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
  • Solid understanding of SAP Master Data concepts (Customer, Vendor, Finance, etc.)
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders
  • IT background with experience working in cross-functional environments

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Not a traditional “order-taker” — someone who challenges, advises, and improves solutions
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and exploring new or undefined areas
  • Brings a consultative approach and thought leadership to MDG usage and optimization
  • Strong balance of business acumen and technical understanding

Key Details
  • Location: Chicago
  • Work Model: Contract, Hybrid 3 days per week
  • Compensation: $50- $60 per hour
  • Benefits: LaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefits – https://www.thelasallenetwork.com/consultants/
