IT Field Technician (Epic Go-Live & Technical Dress Rehearsal Support)
Location: Tyler, TX
Travel: Required (including overnight travel; may include New Mexico)
Contract Type: Long-term contract
Pay Rate: $40–$50 per hour
About the Opportunity
LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading healthcare company to help them hire an experienced IT Field Technician to support Epic go-live readiness initiatives. This role focuses on hands-on technical testing and validation of workstations and printers during Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDRs) prior to Epic go-live events.
Candidates must be willing to travel frequently to healthcare facilities. When not traveling, technicians will work onsite in the Tyler office assisting with testing and preparation activities.
This position is best suited for professionals with field service, desktop support, or hardware deployment experience, rather than traditional Epic analyst backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

Travel to healthcare facilities to support Technical Dress Rehearsals prior to Epic go-live

Perform hands-on testing and validation of:

Workstations
-
Printers
-
Peripheral devices
-

Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and configuration issues

Collaborate with technical, clinical, and project teams to resolve issues identified during testing

Assist with testing and preparation activities in the Tyler office when not traveling

Document test results, issues, and resolutions

Follow established quality assurance and testing procedures to ensure go-live readiness
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree

Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays

Strong hands-on experience with:

PC hardware installation and troubleshooting

Printers and peripheral devices
-
Desktop support or field service operations

Ability to work independently in fast-paced, on-site environments

Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications

Epic certification or Epic proficiency (nice to have, not required)

Experience supporting Epic go-lives or healthcare IT deployments
-
Background as a field service technician, desktop support technician, or deployment technician
Travel & Expense Information

Travel outside of Tyler is required and pre-approved

Housing, transportation, and meals & incidentals reimbursed per GSA standards

Receipts required for invoicing

Travel expenses invoiced during on-site visits
