LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a reputable, global manufacturing company, seeking a Human Resources Manager for an immediate hiring need at their Mundelein facility.
The Human Resources Manager oversees all plant-level HR operations and ensures people practices support business objectives, company standards, and workforce needs. This position leads the onsite HR team and partners closely with the General Manager and department leaders to implement effective human capital strategies.
Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:

Direct all hiring activities for the facility, including workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.

Partner with leaders across departments to assess staffing requirements and develop talent acquisition plans that meet operational demands.

Build and maintain a productive, respectful workplace culture through proactive employee relations initiatives.

Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and manage conflict resolution and grievance processes.

Advise supervisors and managers on HR policies, employee performance, coaching, and development matters.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC regulations.

Review, update, and maintain HR policies and procedures to reflect legal requirements and best practices.

Lead and resolve HR compliance matters, audits, and investigations as needed.

Manage performance review processes, including evaluations, goal setting, feedback, and corrective action where necessary.

Support learning and development efforts such as training programs, succession planning, and career advancement opportunities.

Ensure performance management programs align with company goals and plant objectives.

Administer compensation programs, employee benefits, and recognition initiatives.

Maintain payroll and employee information accuracy through Dayforce or other HRIS platforms.

Evaluate pay practices through market analysis, salary reviews, and merit increase recommendations.

Oversee HR records management and ensure data integrity for reporting, audits, and strategic decision-making.

Champion company values including integrity, accountability, customer service, and stewardship.

Drive initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, morale, and workplace satisfaction.

Promote a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and leadership team on workforce planning and organizational matters.

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support overall business performance.

Partner with legal counsel on complex employee matters to minimize risk and ensure compliance.

Analyze workforce trends and metrics to identify opportunities that improve employee effectiveness and plant results.
Human Resources Manager Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or plant operations environments.

Experience using Dayforce or comparable Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop HR staff.
