Head of Admissions Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a global admissions strategy aligned with institutional goals, growth targets, and academic priorities
- Lead admissions planning across multiple programs, regions, and applicant populations
- Analyze enrollment data, market trends, and funnel metrics to inform strategy and decision-making
- Partner with academic leadership, marketing, and international stakeholders to strengthen recruitment outcomes
- Ensure admissions policies, practices, and communications reflect institutional values and global best practices
- Oversee and actively participate in the full admissions lifecycle, from inquiry through offer and enrollment
- Review and process applications to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance
- Establish and continuously improve admissions workflows, timelines, and service standards
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of applicant records and decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop admissions staff, setting clear expectations and performance standards
- Work closely with faculty and program leadership on interviews, selection processes, and scholarship considerations
- Represent the institution at career fairs, recruitment events, and global outreach initiatives
- Engage directly with prospective students, applicants, partners, and external stakeholders
Head of Admissions Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive admissions or enrollment leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on admissions processing
- Experience recruiting and engaging international and diverse applicant populations
- Strong knowledge of admissions operations, policies, and best practices
- Working knowledge of Slate required
- Willingness to travel domestically for recruitment and career fairs
- Customer-centric approach with a deep understanding of applicant experience
