Job Title: Data Warehouse Consultant (Contract)

Pay Range:  $75hr – $95hr

Benefits:  LaSalle Network contractors have the opportunity to enroll in benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance.

Location: Onsite 3 days per week – Elk Grove Village, IL

Type: 6-Month Contract

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Data Warehouse Consultant to design and build an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) leveraging the Microsoft technology stack. This is a critical, high-impact project to establish a centralized data environment supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level developer who thrives in a build-focused, execution-oriented role—not a theoretical architect.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement a scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse using Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
  • Work directly with existing infrastructure, including SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2022 environments (3 production servers, 1 development server).
  • Integrate and optimize data flows from multiple sources to support enterprise reporting.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and data models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize reporting and develop 6–10 recurring reports that leverage the new EDW.
  • Support backend database processes and manage large datasets to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
  • Utilize Snowflake as part of the data architecture (experience with Snowflake is strongly preferred).
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration between data sources, warehouse, and reporting layers.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, or database engineering.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2012, 2022) and related technologies.
  • Proven experience building (not just maintaining) an enterprise data warehouse.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data integration, and ETL best practices.
  • Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouse platforms.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and optimize query performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude—this is a builder/doer role, not an architecture-only position.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
