LaSalle Network is hiring for a Controller to join our Cicero based an award-winning civil and general construction contractor client that believes building great people matters just as much as building great roads.
If you’re a Controller who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, partnering with Operations and building systems that actually work in the real world, this could be your next long-term home. This role is in office in Cicero, Illinois 4x a week and is budgeted up to a base salary of $140,0000 with additional annual incentives offered. Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting function across multiple entities
- Own month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financials
- Oversee job cost accounting, WIP reporting and margin analysis
- Partner closely with Operations to translate numbers into insights
- Manage cash flow, AP/AR, banking relationships and working capital
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Lead, mentor and develop an accounting team in a fast-paced environment
- Improve processes, internal controls and systems using smart automation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience; 2+ years in a Controller or similar role
- Strong construction or operational finance experience
- Proven success partnering with Operations leaders
- Experience managing banking relationships and financial risk
- A hands-on leader who builds people, not just processes
