Configurations Technician Level 1 – 2nd Shift
LaSalle Network is hiring a Configurations Technician Level 1 for an open-ended contract opportunity in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a hands-on IT role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where attention to detail and technical curiosity matter.

What’s the job?
As a Configurations Technician Level 1, you will:

Install and configure hardware and software on computers, printers and peripherals
-
Unbox, configure and repackage equipment for shipment
-
Configure systems to customer specifications
-
Test systems to ensure 100% quality standards
-
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
-
Maintain monthly productivity goals
-
Communicate order concerns to the Help Desk or Team Lead
-
Follow warehouse safety procedures
-
Support overtime needs as required
What’s needed?
To succeed as a Configurations Technician Level 1, you’ll need:

High school diploma or GED
-
Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or CompTIA A+ certification
-
Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble/disassemble equipment
-
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Ability to learn new technology quickly
-
Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
-
Comfort standing, walking and bending for 8+ hours
-
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures
Preferred:
-
Network+ certification
-
Experience working in a warehouse
-
Experience building or configuring computers
