They are looking for a true hunter – someone who thrives on opening new doors, building relationships from scratch, and driving net-new revenue. This role is built for a sales professional who loves the chase, embraces activity, and knows how to create momentum in a competitive market.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities across the Chicagoland market
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting
- Conduct discovery conversations with decision?makers to uncover needs, challenges, and buying triggers
- Develop tailored solutions in partnership with internal teams
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that differentiate our value
- Track activity, pipeline, and progress using CRM tools
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly new business goals
- Represent the company at industry events, networking groups, and partner functions.
Business Development Manager Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years professional B2B sales or business development experience
- Track record of meeting or exceeding new business targets
- Experience with CRM systems and structured sales processes
- Track record of consistently exceeding sales and performance goals
