We are a mid-sized, high-precision components manufacturer serving clients in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment sectors. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Bookkeeper to join our finance team.
The Bookkeeper will support daily transactional accounting functions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory-related activity, and goods receipt processing. Manufacturing industry experience is required—candidates without manufacturing experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a production-oriented environment with evolving processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Bookkeeper Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable including invoice matching, supplier communication, and payment preparation.
- Manage Accounts Receivable including customer invoicing, cash application, and collections support.
- Perform goods receipt entries and reconcile them against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Assist with inventory-related accounting, including tracking, discrepancies, and adjustments.
- Support month-end activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records within the accounting system.
- Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and production teams to ensure proper documentation and timely financial processing.
- Help identify process improvements and support implementation of more efficient workflows.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation when needed.
Bookkeeper Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience is required — no exceptions.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience (AP, AR, goods receipts).
- Strong understanding of purchase orders, three-way matching, and inventory flow.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- SAP experience is a strong plus (other ERP systems also valued).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
