We are currently working on an Accounting Specialist position in Dallas, Texas, with the possibility for remote work. This role offers a variety of responsibilities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing cash transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience in AP/AR, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Post daily cash receipts and reconcile bank transactions
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger
- Maintain and update vendor and customer records
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash transactions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation
Accounting Specialist Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role, with a focus on AP, AR, and cash posting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting is a plus
