LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading energy organization to hire a Project Controls Professional III to support large-scale capital and infrastructure projects in a highly technical, regulated environment. This role will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost control, earned value management, and performance reporting while partnering closely with project managers and leadership teams. The ideal candidate brings strong Primavera P6 expertise, financial analysis capabilities, and experience supporting complex industrial projects from planning through execution.

 

What's the job?

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Support project planning, scope development, cost estimating, and execution activities
  • Monitor project performance and identify schedule, scope, cost, and resource variances
  • Perform earned value management (EVM) analysis and project performance reporting
  • Develop forecasts, monitor budgets, and track project financial performance
  • Conduct budget-to-actual analysis and provide variance reporting to project leadership
  • Support contingency management, resource planning, and project controls processes
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for project teams and stakeholders
  • Assist with risk identification, mitigation planning, and schedule recovery efforts
  • Support month-end, year-end, and annual budgeting activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve project controls processes and reporting capabilities
  • Ensure project controls activities align with established procedures and governance standards


What's needed?

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of project controls or project management experience, Associate degree and 6+ years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience
  • Formal training in Primavera P6 or a similar project management system
  • Experience with earned value management (EVM), forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
  • Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling experience
  • Strong understanding of project controls methodologies and project management principles
  • Experience performing detailed financial analysis and variance reporting
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, energy, construction, manufacturing, or capital projects
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
