LaSalle Network is hiring a Part-Time Medical Coder to support a growing healthcare client in need of flexible, detail-driven coding expertise. This Part-Time Medical Coder will play a key role in reviewing inpatient and outpatient records, ensuring accurate coding and optimized reimbursement—all while working a flexible, remote schedule.
What’s the job?
- Review inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) medical records
- Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS codes accurately
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Support DRG reconciliation and coding validation
- Handle specialty areas such as ED and same-day surgery (SDS)
- Identify and resolve documentation gaps
- Maintain high-quality coding standards and productivity
What’s needed?
- CCS, CPC or CIC certification required
- 1–3 years of inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with DRG methodology and reimbursement practices
- Ability to maintain high accuracy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
