LaSalle Network is actively seeking an Interim Controller for a 3-month contract engagement with a manufacturing client undergoing transformation. This Interim Controller role offers the chance to own the entire accounting function for a newly acquired site while navigating legacy systems and preparing for future-state ERP improvements. If you’re detail-driven, systems-savvy and comfortable working solo, this is your moment.
What’s the job?
- Serve as the go-to Interim Controller for all accounting operations
- Execute full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP and general ledger management
- Drive the month-end close process from start to finish
- Maintain and enhance Bills of Materials (BOM) structures
- Manage inventory accounting, including counts and valuation
- Ensure data integrity within Sage (desktop version)
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and implement process improvements
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting and insights
What’s needed?
- Prior experience in an Interim Controller or Accounting Manager capacity
- Manufacturing or light industrial industry experience required
- Strong Sage (onsite) system experience
- Expertise in inventory accounting and BOM management
- Ability to independently manage accounting for a mid-sized operation
- Comfortable working onsite five days per week in Cary, IL
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
