We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Brand Designer for an immediate project supporting two premier sports and recreation brands with an ad agency client of ours in the West Loop!
This role is perfect for a designer who lives and breathes brand identity but also understands the functional side of e-commerce. You will be responsible for elevating the visual presence of these brands and ensuring a seamless, high-quality transition onto the Shopify platform.
Brand Designer Responsibilities:
- Brand Elevation: Lead the design direction for brand assets, ensuring a cohesive and premium look across all digital touchpoints.
- Shopify Integration: Select the most effective Shopify templates and customize them to align with the brand’s identity.
- Content Implementation: Take full ownership of “dropping in” content, ensuring that layout, typography, and imagery are optimized for the user experience.
- Visual Strategy: Bridge the gap between high-level brand concepts and practical web execution.
- Design First: A strong background in brand design is the primary requirement. You should have a portfolio that demonstrates a sophisticated eye for aesthetics.
- Shopify Proficiency: You don’t need to be a heavy-duty developer, but you must have a solid grasp of the Shopify ecosystems specifically template selection and content management.
- Execution-Oriented: Ability to move quickly on immediate needs without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborative Spirit: While you’ll be working with a Chicago-based agency, we are open to talent in any location.
- Location: Chicago or Remote
- Hourly Pay Rate: $35 – $50/hr
- Start Date: ASAP
