LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a global construction firm, seeking a hands-on, experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage all HR functions for a growing organization. This is a true “player/coach” role responsible for leading a small HR team while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, employee relations, onboarding, and performance management.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who can hit the ground running, manage multiple payrolls, support both domestic and international employees, and help drive strategic HR initiatives across the organization.
Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee all human resources functions, including payroll, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and compliance
- Manage and develop a team of HR professionals, including payroll and benefits staff
- Supervise and coordinate domestic and international payroll processes
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of multiple payroll cycles
- Lead high-volume onboarding efforts for domestic and international employees
- Draft and manage employment agreements and verifications
- Support benefits administration, vendor evaluation, and open enrollment processes
- Drive wellness, engagement, and employee relations initiatives
- Help unify performance management systems following a recent acquisition
- Build consistency across merged teams and HR processes
- Partner with leadership to improve HR operations and organizational effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
Human Resources Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 10+ years of human resources experience
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience managing multiple payrolls required
- Prior experience managing and developing an HR team
- Ability to manage high-volume, international onboarding
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and compliance
- Working knowledge of HR systems including Viewpoint, ADP, and Smartsheet
This position offers a hybrid working model in Lombard, IL. Pay for this role ranges between $100,000-120,000 annual salary with bonus eligibility. Full benefits are provided including medical benefits and a 401k match.
