The Greatest Time of the Year

Every year, we celebrate our anniversary with a week-long celebration called LaSallemas, because it’s like Christmas in August!

LaSallemas week came and went too quickly, and just like that… LaSalle Network has entered its 20th year of business! We ate, we worked, we danced, we laughed, and most of all– we celebrated the company that brought us all together and the people that make this place special.

Here’s a little taste of what life looked like at LaSalle last week:

Day 1: Monday morning, each office was decked out to the nines when LaSallians arrived, with green decorations from ceiling to floor. Throughout the week, the entire office gathered at 3:30 for a competition, which provided time to let loose and get to know one another better. We kicked off the week’s competitions with the annual marshmallow toss! Newcomers Kevin and Kyle beat last year’s champions, Paul & Brock.

Day 2: On day two, our employees broke into teams of 8 to compete in the annual book races, and the winning team from downtown continued showing off their skills long after the competition ended. To fuel up after the races, we were treated to tacos for lunch!

Day 3: SURPRISE! We learned we made it on INC 5000’s list of fastest-growing privately held companies for the 11th year in a row, an accomplishment less than half of 1% of companies can claim!  Of course, this meant more decorations so the green got swapped out for blue, yellow and red to celebrate! In the afternoon, LaSallians were serenaded by guitarists, who walked through the office while everyone sang and danced along. Shortly after, it was time for the annual hula-hoop contest!

Day 4: Thursday was the official anniversary of LaSalle Network and the rebirthday of our founder and CEO, Tom Gimbel! A rebirthday is the anniversary of your start date, and we wanted to make sure we celebrated Tom’s because without him, none of this would have been possible! We began the day with a surprise protein-packed breakfast, followed by the Oreo challenge, our newest competition where you have one minute to move an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands. We still aren’t sure if it was more enjoyable to participate or watch.

Day 5: Time to LaSallebrate! Following bagels for breakfast and a champagne toast at 3:00pm, LaSallians hopped on trolleys to see Cirque de Soleil, a unique and unforgettable experience. Afterwards, we headed over to the Merchandise Mart and the party began with a toast, where our CEO gave a speech and announced the winners of the Making It Happen and LaSallian of the Year awards. Our Director of Sales, Kevin Roeder, won the Making It Happen award, which recognizes a LaSallian who not only produced incredible results, but ran through walls and broke down doors to do so. Grace Flickinger, a Project Manager on Human Resources Recruiting, won this year’s LaSallian of the Year award, which is awarded to the person that best represents what LaSalle Network is all about. We sang and danced the rest of the night away to dueling pianos.
