Happy 3rd Rebirthday, Brad Biegler!

BradHow old are you at LaSalle?

3 years old - a toddler of sorts!

What has been your professional progression at LaSalle?

I interviewed as a candidate unsure of what he wanted to do next. I started working hourly, scheduling candidates for our Customer Service team. After a few months, I interviewed with a few people and was converted into a permanent role as a Researcher. At the time I was a one man show and the only Researcher! After doing that for a little over a year, I became a Team Lead for this rapidly growing team. On July 1st this year, I was promoted to Manager of Research, and now I manage a team of 15 (and counting, we are constantly growing and adding people!).

What is your first memory of LaSalle, and how did it make you feel?

Going into my first day I remember having this image of me in a quiet room with maybe a couple other people, calling through lists of names. When I walked into the "war room" and felt the energy at LaSalle, I was blown away. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a little part of me that was intimidated, but I also knew that I had just started something way bigger than I had ever expected.

What is your favorite thing about working at LaSalle?

The people... It's a cliché here for a reason. You can't beat this group.

What does LaSalle mean to you?

LaSalle means a lot of things, but more than anything it means family, and it means home. I grew up in Sacramento, CA and the majority of my family is out that way. So I derive my sense of "familial foundation" in Chicago through LaSalle Network.

I have so many close friends at LaSalle; many of my mentors are at LaSalle; and I met my girlfriend here. I have grown immensely as a professional and as an overall person as a result of being here. This place has so much to offer and has made this Northern California transplant feel at home in the frozen tundra that is the Midwest.

What has been your proudest moment at LaSalle?

There have been many proud moments, but all in all I’m proud of the growth and development of the Research team. To have started as the sole contributor, to have seen the team grow to where it is now, and know where we will continue to take it... I can't help but smile out of sheer pride.Brad 2

What do you hope to conquer in the next 365 days?

Inspired by my proudest moment above, I look forward to doubling/tripling/quadrupling the size of this team and seeing the ripple effect it has on the organization as a whole!

What does celebrating a Rebirthday mean to you?

I definitely feel a sense of accomplishment because of what's happened over the last year. It's a great chance to reflect on all of the awesome work that we've achieved as a company since I've started, a great chance to reflect on how lucky I am to be a part of it, and a great chance to be even more motivated to keep it all rolling as I head into year 4!

What has been the most unexpected thing about LaSalle?

Just how ingrained LaSalle is in my life at this point. It has all happened very naturally, and I wouldn't trade it for the world, but if you told the "3 years ago today" me, the hourly scheduler on his first day, that this is where I'd be today... I definitely would have been surprised.

What's your spirit animal?

A domestic dog... probably a beagle. That or a majestic eagle (shout out to BC Athletics!).

Anything else you want to share?

I like tacos.
