At LaSalle, we have three big annual awards: Producer of the Year, Making it Happen, and LaSallian of the Year. LaSallian of the Year is awarded to the person who best represents what LaSalle Network is all about. They take pride in their work, they execute what their plan is and they scream from the roof tops to share with the world what we are creating at LaSalle.
This last week at LaSallemas, a new LOTY was announced: Jessica Dickerson! Here's a quick look at Jessica and her accomplishments throughout the year.
What do you do at LaSalle?
I'm a Senior Research on the Research Team, and I've been here for just over two years.
Describe the moment your name was announced. What did you feel?
The moment I heard Tom say my name I was in complete shock (and still am)! Before Tom announced this year’s winner, he mentioned the winners from the past 5 years; all people who I respect and admire immensely. When I realized that I got to go up and join them, it blew my mind. I was so excited!
What does this award mean to you?
Winning this award means more to me than I can put into words. I have poured my heart into LaSalle for the past two years, and being recognized as the LaSallian of the Year solidified why I love working here. It’s truly an amazing company and I feel lucky every single day to be a part of what we’re building.
What have you accomplished in the last year that you're particularly proud of?
This award definitely takes the cake! I am also particularly proud of my promotion to Senior Researcher. I started my second year at LaSalle on a different team doing a job that just didn’t click with me. It was pretty scary to discover that for myself and then talk about it openly with leaders in the company. The overwhelming support that I received from my colleagues and from management was amazing... and to be promoted shortly after returning to the research team was an incredible feeling.
Why are you proud to be a LaSallian?
I am proud to be a LaSallian because I get to work alongside people who blow me away every single day. LaSallians are a collection of the most hardworking, intelligent, hilarious and caring people I have ever met. I’m proud to work at a company that values superior customer service, a great candidate experience, and crushing our goals... all while having a great time.
Anything else you'd like to add?
LaSallemas this year was one of the best nights of my life-- hands down. I learned how to play roulette (fairly straight forward concept, but still cool), laughed and danced with some of my best friends in the world, and cried like a baby in the hallway of a museum when I told my Mom over the phone that I won this award. Thank you Tom for making it all possible!
