Workday Finance Senior Application Specialist Responsibilities:
- Handling of day-to-day workflow (monitoring ticket system, e-mail, daily tasks, ongoing training). Level 2 support and troubleshooting of complex issues
- Support/lead project activities including data mapping, completion of complex translation tables, reviewing conversion balancing and reconciliation reports, implementation of a new application, system functionality or integration
- Supporting line of business process improvement and efficiency initiatives. System tuning and optimization, and supporting change management and product/project implementation
- Provide leadership, mentoring and training and develop best practice process and procedures. May include management of a team or other Application Specialists
- Technical Application(s) Ownership including evaluating new releases/functionality and monitoring application road maps and support bulletins
- Ongoing knowledge of current and changing business and technological environments, trends and strategy is important to success. The successful candidate will be expected to stay up to date on their Workday knowledge
- Must be willing to spend approximately one week per month on call (24×7) in case any support issues arise
Workday Finance Senior Application Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of related experience
- Workday accreditation (certification) in Workday Integrations and Studio strongly desired
- Advance level experience in the following technologies or similar a plus:
- Digital and Mobile Banking Platforms
- Lending Solutions
- General ledger, Reconciliation and/or ERP systems
- Proficiency in one or more database system (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- SQL Server (SSIS, SSMS, SSRS, and SSAS) to support reporting and integration
- Microsoft technologies (SQL, Azure, Office 365, .NET)
- Application Programming Interfaces (API) and micro services technologies
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- ServiceNow
- Knowledge on file transfer Software would be a plus
- MuleSoft middleware
- Upgrading finance applications
