LaSalle Network has partnered with a dynamic and innovative leader in the sports industry, dedicated to delivering unparalleled experiences for fans and athletes alike in hiring a VP of Marketing and Communications. With a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic VP of Marketing and Communications with 10+ years of experience to lead the charge in elevating our client’s brand presence.

As the VP of Marketing and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing marketing strategies to maximize brand visibility, engage their audience and drive business growth. This position is a unique opportunity for a seasoned marketing professional to make a significant impact within the sports industry.

VP of Marketing and Communications Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the company's image and reputation
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists and influencers
  • Proactively manage and respond to media inquiries, ensuring accurate representation of the company
  • Oversee media planning and buying activities, ensuring maximum exposure and return on investment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling press releases, media kits and other materials
  • Monitor media trends and industry news to identify opportunities for brand placement
  • Lead the development and execution of a robust social media strategy across various platforms
  • Drive engagement through creative and impactful content, ensuring alignment with brand messaging
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback and opportunities to enhance online presence
  • Shape and maintain a consistent brand identity across all channels and touchpoints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand alignment in product launches and partnerships
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform ongoing brand strategy
  • Drive the creation of high-quality and engaging content across multiple channels
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop multimedia content, including videos, articles and graphics
  • Analyze content performance metrics to refine strategies and maximize audience reach

VP of Marketing and Communications Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles within the sports industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of public relations, media relations, social media, branding and content development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes
