Job Description

Our client, an innovative multinational commercial printing company based in Chicago, is looking for a VP of Human Resources to oversee all human resources initiatives for the organization. They will serve as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the CEO, CFO, senior leadership, and management teams.   

The VP of Human Resources provide leadership and support in functional areas of HR including talent acquisition, benefit administration, compensation and merit planning, D&I, learning and development, talent development and performance management, employee relations, and retention. 

 

VP of Human Resources Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the HR strategic direction 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent management and innovative initiatives 

  • Build strong connections and communication lines among employees and between employees and senior leadership 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all employment related matters including payroll, benefits, and employee relations 

  • Manage wellness initiatives 

  • Oversee the recruiting as well as professional learning and development function 

  • Structure/develop and implement competitive compensation packages and employee incentive programs 

  • Lead and manage other projects and responsibilities as assigned 

VP of Human Resources Requirements: 

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in HR leadership roles 

  • Experience managing remote HR staff in a manufacturing setting 

  • Demonstrated strategic planning, organization, and proven leadership skills 

  • Superior interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and effective presentation skills.
