We are looking for a Vice President, Due Diligence to join our client’s Financial Advisory Team. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of financial due diligence projects, providing strategic leadership and driving the consistent and effective delivery of services. This role will also focus on improving internal processes and expanding due diligence practice, with a strong emphasis on buy-side advisory services.

Vice President, Due Diligence Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and overseeing the execution of financial due diligence projects
  • Build and sustain client relationships to ensure the success of engagements
  • Conduct comprehensive research and structure deliverables that meet client needs
  • Serve as the go-to expert on due diligence for the Financial Advisory team, providing guidance, support and training to colleagues
  • Track and monitor the status of active due diligence projects, ensuring timelines and client expectations are met
  • Lead in-depth analysis of target company financial data, including earnings quality, working capital considerations and potential liabilities
  • Evaluate target company performance metrics and compare them with industry benchmarks
  • Lead client and lender meetings and interface with senior executives to drive project success
  • Identify key risks and provide strategic recommendations in line with clients’ investment goals
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency and quality of client deliverables, including financial assessments, working capital analysis and revenue verification
  • Collaborate with internal project leads to resolve project challenges and improve processes
  • Stay informed on industry trends, incorporating best practices to refine service offerings
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to support business development and revenue growth

Vice President, Due Diligence Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA designation is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence or audit
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to grasp and address new business concepts and challenges
  • Analytical thinker with proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations to both small and large groups
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight and weekend travel
