Job Description
As a Disaster Recovery Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions that ensure the continuity and resilience of our client’s operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering and customer support, to deliver tailored disaster recovery strategies that meet their needs.

Disaster Recovery Solutions Architect Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate clients' existing infrastructure, applications and business processes to identify vulnerabilities and recovery requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments to determine potential threats and their impact on business continuity
  • Design comprehensive disaster recovery solutions tailored to each client's specific needs and budget
  • Select and recommend appropriate technologies, tools and methodologies for disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Create detailed disaster recovery plans, including RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) specifications
  • Develop and maintain architectural diagrams, documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement disaster recovery solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
  • Conduct regular testing and simulations to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on disaster recovery best practices and compliance requirements
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients, addressing their evolving disaster recovery needs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing disaster recovery solutions and processes

Disaster Recovery Solutions Architect Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, specifically in disaster recovery and business continuity
  • In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery technologies, including backup, replication, failover and cloud-based recovery solutions
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, HIPAA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) a plus
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning software and tools
