Job Description

Lasalle Network has partnered with a Chicago based retirement system and they are looking to hire Technical Trainers. The Technical Trainers must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. Additionally, they must be excellent communicators, able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way. 

Technical Trainers Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop and update technical training programs for employees, partners and customers 

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content aligns with industry standards, best practices and company goals 

  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops and webinars both in-person and virtually 

  • Deliver technical content effectively to diverse audiences, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles 

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services and technologies 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continually enhance training materials 

  • Develop training manuals, guides and other educational resources to support training programs 

  • Maintain and update training documentation to reflect product updates and changes 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, quizzes and participant feedback 

  • Use feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery methods 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing and customer support, to ensure training aligns with organizational objectives 

  • Work closely with HR to identify and address training needs within the organization 

Technical Trainers Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Computer Science, Engineering) 

  • Proven experience as a technical trainer, with a track record of successful program development and delivery 

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies 

  • Strong technical aptitude with expertise in the company's products and technologies 

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to tailor communication to various audience levels 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with trainees and colleagues 

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and support individual learning needs 

  • Flexibility to adapt to different training environments and changing business needs 

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
