Job Description
Our nonprofit client is dedicated to making a positive impact through education. As a Technical Project Manager at our nonprofit client, you will be responsible for applying industry best practices to oversee technology and digital transformation projects from initiation to closure. This role involves managing various project aspects such as work allocation, resource management, scope and timeline control, quality assurance, risk mitigation, communication and stakeholder engagement. By working collaboratively across teams, you will contribute to the realization of positive change and the successful delivery of organizational commitments.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Apply agile and traditional project management methodologies, customizing them to the company’s organizational context
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of assigned projects and monitor the status of all project components
  • Lead project team meetings, promoting coordination among technical and functional leaders, including experts from program, policy, research and operations domains
  • Ensure project goals are advanced, and all project aspects are on schedule, within budget, and within scope
  • Collaborate with project teams and external partners to ensure required resources are available for project success
  • Provide expertise in business analysis by collaborating with functional teams to implement technology and digital transformation solutions
  • Develop requirements documents and vendor selection processes
  • Research and evaluate new hardware, software and service providers
  • Assist teams in system implementation, upgrades and maintenance
  • Assist project leaders in overall project management, including anticipating deadlines, implementing change control measures, regularly reviewing scope, collecting project information and distributing status reports
  • Proactively identify challenges to project milestones and initiate resolutions
  • Develop and execute change management strategies and activities to ensure smooth adoption of changes introduced by projects
  • Introduce new processes or improve existing ones to optimize workflow and deliver value to internal and external stakeholders; define roles, decision sets and waste reduction strategies
  • Provide training and consultation to colleagues to enhance organizational proficiency in project, change and process management
  • Support PMO operations to optimize services for internal stakeholders

Project Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in technology and digital transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with agile and traditional project management methods
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and devise effective solutions
  • Proficiency in change management principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities
  • Salesforce experience preferred
