We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Supply Planning Manager to support short- to mid-term production planning and inventory management for a dynamic North American manufacturing operation. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply capabilities with business demand, ensuring the right balance between customer service, operational efficiency, and cost.
The position will work cross-functionally with production control, engineering, procurement, and demand planning teams to optimize capacity planning and inventory strategies across a multi-site operation. This role reports to the Director of Supply Planning and will a major stakeholder in the team’s transformation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of a new supply planning platform, incorporating end-to-end cost, capacity constraints, material availability, logistics, and service level objectives.

Develop and maintain monthly capacity plans that support the broader business forecast, ensuring an optimal balance between customer demand, inventory levels, and production schedules.

Facilitate and lead monthly supply planning reviews as part of the broader sales and operations planning cycle.

Act as a key liaison between manufacturing operations, engineering, and planning functions to ensure alignment between plant capabilities and supply plans.

Establish and monitor inventory targets for key product lines in collaboration with demand planning and supply leadership.

Track inventory levels across distribution centers and coordinate reallocation in response to changes in customer demand.

Identify opportunities to enhance existing planning processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operating costs.

Partner with the customer service team to ensure alignment between production planning and customer delivery expectations.

Provide analytical and reporting support to leadership and cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production control or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment; operational experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.

Strong understanding of supply planning tools and methodologies.

Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and Excel-based reporting; experience with enterprise planning systems preferred.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly across departments.

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

Willingness to travel up to 15%.
