Job Description

Are you an analytical and strategic supply chain planning analyst? If so, our partner is interested in adding you to their team! They are a growing CPG company, and we are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Analyst to work cross-functionally in a critical high impact, high visibility role. If you are an ambitious supply chain planning professional, this is an excellent opportunity.

Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week in Toledo, OH.

Supply Chain Planning Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Management and tactical implementation of the procurement and supply chain operating strategies
  • Company lead for co-pack finished good and inventory management
  • Drive lean methodologies through the supply chain performance
  • Establish strong relationships with company leadership, customer service, sales, purchasing, distribution partners, transportation partners, co-packers, etc.
  • Supply chain resource and support for all 3rd party co-packer and daily operations
  • Analyze and determine replenishment requirements to insure available inventory for sourced finished goods
  • Create truckload inter-company shipments maximizing warehouse shipping and receiving efficiencies
  • Allocate available production to distribution centers for push distribution environments covering customer orders, inter-company orders, safety stock and forecast
  • Provide leadership and support in the areas of inbound appointment scheduling and receiving, outbound appointment scheduling, pallet picking and shipping, drop lot management, inventory control management, customer requirement management, overage, shortages and damages, relationship management and reconciliation
  • Accountable for key logistic results and systems; identify root cause and countermeasures for any gaps in results
  • Understand financial drivers and impacts from site operations to address internally with key 3PL operator personnel
  • Develop and implement cost reduction and work process improvement projects
  • Master existing technology, and support future improvements/upgrades between company and 3PL operator including but not limited to EDI and system-to-system inventory reconciliation
  • Co-pack controls in materials management, finished product and business continuity plan for inventory and execution plans
  • Develop and execute a vision that delivers operational excellence, resulting in world class customer service efficiency
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Supply Chain Planning Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; supply chain management or equivalent preferred
  • APICs certification a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Planning/Operations/Production Planning
  • Demonstrate capability in analyzing data, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Think and act decisively and ethically

  • Ability to teach and lead others
  • Technical mastery in logistics work processes (Loss Analysis, Theory of Constraints, Integrated Planning, Initiative Delivery, Outbound Logistics, Material Planning and Sourcing)
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills are required
  • Strong analytical capability
  • ERP (experience in D365 is a plus) and Microsoft Office (including strength in Excel)
  • Results in driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and supply chain
  • Ability to be flexible and nimble in changing business needs
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and reconciliation processes
  • Financial acumen and general understanding of accounting
