Job Description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a municipal corporation seeking a dynamic and experienced Supplier Diversity Contract Manager to lead their contracts compliance team. This pivotal role focuses on driving diversity initiatives, community outreach, and fostering inclusive business practices. Supplier Diversity Contract Manager Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed the client's supplier diversity goals, ensuring inclusion and representation of diverse businesses in contract awards 

  • Spearhead community outreach efforts by actively engaging with local businesses, residents, and community organizations. Promote awareness of opportunities to work with the client and encourage diverse participation 

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the contract compliance unit, ensuring that diversity goals are integrated into all aspects of the procurement process 

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and select vendors, considering their commitment to diversity and inclusion 

  • Lead training programs for vendors and staff on the importance of diversity in procurement, fostering an inclusive and supportive business environment 

  • Utilize systems such as B2Gnow and LCP Tracker to monitor and report on supplier diversity metrics and achievements 

  • Participate in external events, conferences, and forums to enhance the visibility of the client's supplier diversity initiatives 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate diversity and inclusion principles into overall organizational practices 

  • Prepare regular reports on supplier diversity activities, highlighting successes and identifying areas for improvement 

Supplier Diversity Contract Manager Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in supplier diversity or related roles, with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusion 

  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, outreach, and business development 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, with an emphasis on integrating diversity goals 

  • Effective communication, analytical, and organizational skill 

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change in a diverse and dynamic environment 

  • Experience using Power BI or similar tools is a plus
