As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. You’ll work closely with the finance team to maintain records, reconcile accounts, and contribute to strategic financial decisions.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support payroll processing and tax reporting
- Monitor inventory and cost accounting related to formal wear products
- Generate financial reports and provide insights to management
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1+ years of accounting experience (retail or fashion industry experience is a plus!)
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
