Job Description
Our client, a financial banking institution with a 100+ year history, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their growing office in the suburbs of Chicago! The team is looking for a Staff Accountant that can grow long term into a senior/manager role, and will play a critical role in the future growth of the team. This position offers a competitive base salary of up to $70,000 and competitive benefits, including up to 30 days PTO! This role will be onsite.Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations for GL and cash accountants
- Prepare and post journal entries to the GL
- Assist with their internal and external audits by providing any needed information
- Assist management team with any process improvements, etc.
- Ad-hoc reporting/requests as needed
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting
- 1+ years of accounting experience OR internship experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication, leadership skills, go-getter
