Job Description
Our client, a leading packaging and design company currently seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Infrastructure Engineer with a diverse skill set in Networking, Servers, Datacenters and Security. This individual will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and managing the company's infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security and optimal performance.
Sr. Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco technologies
- Configure and manage SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and reliability
- Administer firewalls and implement security policies to protect the network from potential threats
- Work with Aruba wireless solutions to provide seamless and secure wireless connectivity
- Contribute to the planning, setup and maintenance of datacenter facilities
- Ensure high availability and redundancy for critical systems and applications
- Optimize datacenter infrastructure for performance and efficiency
- Monitor and manage vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security patches
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations, ensuring data security and compliance
- Collaborate with the security team to enhance overall security posture
- Take ownership of infrastructure-related projects from inception to completion
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to meet business requirements
- Continuously optimize and improve existing infrastructure components
Sr. Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Networking, Servers, Datacenters and Security
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, firewalls, SD-WAN and Aruba wireless solutions
- Extensive experience in Windows server environments and VMware virtualization
- Familiarity with storage systems and datacenter management best practices
- Understanding of security principles, vulnerability management and incident response
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient in Windows server environments, including server setup, configuration and management
- Expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, including designing and building VMware clusters
- Knowledge of storage systems and ability to design and implement storage solutions
- Possess a valid CCNA/CCNP, MSCE, MCSA, VCP or other comparable certifications
- Demonstrate a strong foundation in security principles and practices
- Bring in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience to build infrastructure from scratch
