My client, Fortune 500 insurance company, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their dynamic finance team Downtown Chicago. The role is open due to a promotion within the team. They pride themselves in internal growth and development.
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who will drive process improvements to enhance overall efficiency in the department. The base salary for this position is $85,000-$100,000 with a competitive bonus structure.
Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of various Federal and State Income Tax Returns
Preparation and consolidation of quarterly tax provision
Preparation and review of Federal and State quarterly estimated taxes
Perform tax research and technical analysis as needed
Perform account reconciliation and review cash payment tracking as needed
Assist with tax process re-design and global tax calendar implementation
Senior Tax Accountant Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of experience in public or corporate tax experience
Experience with federal and state income tax returns
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to process improve
