LaSalle Network is in search of a Senior Supply Planning Manager for one of our industry-leading clients in confectionary sugar and CPG. This hybrid role, based in downtown Chicago, will oversee all aspects of supply planning for semi-finished and finished goods across internal manufacturing and coman/copacking plants.
The Senior Supply Planning Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure production meets inventory targets, manage supply risks and optimize service levels while minimizing inventory and supply chain costs. This role also plays a critical part in facilitating informed business decisions through the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forums.
Senior Supply Planning Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee short-, mid- and long-term supply plans to meet demand, including production management, seasonal pre-builds and inventory lifecycle transitions
- Manage weeks of supply inventory targets and develop replenishment strategies, including safety stock and economic order quantities
- Collaborate with plant management and material planning teams to resolve production issues and enhance ways of working
- Identify and escalate supply risks and opportunities, providing proposed solutions to leadership and key stakeholders
- Analyze service impacts, conduct root cause analyses and recommend preventative actions to maintain high service levels
- Participate in business forums, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Innovation Launch Readiness (ILR), and Limited Time Offerings (LTO), representing the supply planning function
- Lead initiatives to drive improvements in key supply chain metrics such as service levels, inventory turns, planned order adherence and plant attainment
- Evaluate inventory obsolescence risks and identify slow-moving stock to mitigate losses
- Support IBP processes and activities for the supply planning team, ensuring risk evaluation and escalation
Senior Supply Planning Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of supply chain or supply planning experience
- Experience within CPG or related industries is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP software and familiarity with Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence systems preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage complex processes and large datasets
